May 12th, 2016 is Bike to Work Day!
Dig out your helmet, dust off your bike and join thousands of Bay Area commuters in riding to work on Bike to Work Day – Thursday, May 12th, 2016. Bike to Work Day’s goal is to encourage commuters to try getting to work by bycycle. This year we expect tens of thousands of people across the Bay Area’s nine counties to bike to work- with many being first-time bike commuters.
Bay Area Bike to Work Day participants can take advantage of over 400 Energizer Stations, where they can stop for refreshments, giveaways, and bicycling information. Energizer Stations will be open during moring commute hours and some will even re-open during the evening commute. There will be about 50 energizer stations in Contra Costa County.
