Bike Rodeos

Mark your calendar for Street Smarts First Annual Community Bike Rodeo on May 9, 2020 at Iron Horse Middle School Blacktop!

More information will be posted on this webpage and also shared with the schools in the fall. It will be a fun-filled day for the whole family!

(This event will be in lieu of individual school rodeos for the 2019/20 school year.)

Bike rodeos are an opportunity for children to learn about the safety aspects of riding a bicycle in a safe, controlled, hands-on environment.  Bike rodeos are oftentimes a child’s only opportunity to learn the rules of the road, have their helmet properly checked and practice riding their bike in a supervised bicycle course.  All students at the school are encouraged to bike to school on the day of the event. The bike rodeo takes place after school on the school blacktop and typically lasts one hour.

Children must bring a bike or scooter and their helmet with them!
