It Happens Campaign
Sponsored in the San Ramon Valley by State Farm
“It Happens,” is a two-day high school campaign of the Street Smarts Program, teaches high school students safe driving habits and encourages students to walk, bike, carpool, and take transit to school.
- The first day consists of lunchtime activities about driving safety (a crashed car on display, walking a line with vision-impaired goggles, a prize wheel with trivia questions, and other hands-on games).
- After the driving safety day, “It Happens” hosts a Bike/Walk to School Day that rewards participating students with prizes.
