Safety in the Lanes

Middle school students also engage with Street Smarts through educational assemblies, presented at eight middle schools. These assemblies cover crucial topics such as being Predictable, Visible, and Aware; avoiding distractions; crosswalk etiquette; helmet laws; rules of the road; preventing bike accidents; bike infrastructure; and current e-bike and e-scooter regulations. A summary of key points, along with graphics and a reinforcing message from a local Police Chief, is distributed to principals and parents to help reinforce these safety practices.

Safety At-the-Rack
Safety Education targeted to students, who ride their bike, scooter, skateboard to school with the purpose of making travel to and from school, and within the community, safer for students and others.
